Eights Everywhere - Bellmen / 2069 Atlantis High
Eights Everywhere makes his debut on the Maison Fauna imprint with dual single, “Bellmen / 2069 Atlantis High.” With a promoter’s background and releases already under his belt on labels such as Slothacid, Modarnity, Suicide Robot, DNCTRX, and Elysian Dreams, Eights Everywhere has spent the better part of the last decade making some serious waves in the American underground music scene. His first release with Maison Fauna shows the breadth of his style, as he shares two experimental tracks with futuristic, immersive, narrative-driven sound design. Starting with “Bellmen,” a track inspired by the concept of a relaxing, almost-empty, haunted luxury hotel, it’s clear that Eights has formed a highly personalized, analog-based palette. Each drum hit and synth feels as if it’s crafted around a detailed vision, something which becomes even more evident on the B-Side, “2069 Atlantis High.” Inspired by the idea of a post-apocalyptic, undersea universe in which dolphins and humans attend the same high-school, you can almost hear the imaginary fish-to-human chatter. With his avid imagination and distinct style, we’re more than excited to get these two heaters out into the world (and onto dance-floors everywhere).
